Kyle Deneke

Kyle has been crossfitting since 2008. After training in traditional body building for 10 years, he became addicted to CrossFit almost immediately. In January of 2009, Kyle received his Level 1 certification. Already passionate about coaching, he decided to try his skills at running his first bootcamp. It was successful and his clients saw great results. After several more bootcamps, he received an opportunity to open a CrossFit facility. Kyle jumped at the chance and CrossFit Rebellion has been growing ever since.
Kyle is a member of the Alabama High School Athletic Coaches Association and has coached competitive athletics at both the high school and junior high level. Kyle is also certified by the American Heart Association in CPR.

I was introduced to CrossFit in 2008 by my Dad. Initially I wasn't convinced and couldn't imagine giving up my spinning classes and frequent jogs. I dabbled with 1 or 2 WOD's a week for several months. In October of that same year, I decided to CrossFit regularly and it changed my life. Within 3 months, I had my kipping pull up and was in the best shape I had ever been in. Shortly after, I found out I was pregnant. I CrossFitted through the majority of my pregnancy and loved the energy it gave me. In May of 2010 I received my Level 1 certification and joined Kyle as a trainer at the gym. I really enjoy training, but my true passion is nutrition. I love to help people change their life by changing their eating habits.

Shane Lovelady
Trainer
CrossFit Level 1 Certified
Shane started CrossFit in December 2009, and received his Level 1 CrossFit Certification in May 2011. He was addicted immediately to the competitiveness and camaraderie of CrossFit. After learning more about the CrossFit definition of fitness, his total perspective of fitness and nutrition changed. His prior regimen of isolation exercises and protein powders/weightlifting supplements changed to eating a paleo diet and a workout regimen of high intensity, varied, functional movements. When Shane is not CrossFitting, he travels the country as a real estate appraiser providing valuation analysis and market studies for senior housing lenders and investors. Through the years, he has been involved in a variety of sports and activities including weightlifting, Taekwondo, swimming, rock climbing/rappelling, and scuba diving. As a Level 1 Trainer, his goal is to motivate as many people as possible to increase their work capacity and to change their life with proper nutrition.

Lauren Baker
Trainer
CrossFit Level 1 Certified
After years of distance running, Lauren found Crossfit in 2010 when she witnessed Crossfit Rebellion members working out one day on her way home from work. As a former gymnast and cheerleader, Lauren was excited to utilize movements and skills she had not used in years.
When she is not “WODing,” Lauren is an attorney and is working on a master’s degree in Healthcare Administration. As a trainer at CFR, Lauren hopes to continue to improve her coaching skills as well as progress her own personal performance and fitness.
