In honor of Army Staff Sergeant Joshua Whitaker, 23, of Long Beach, CA who was killed in Afghanistan May 15th, 2007.

Well put Carter. The Hero WOD is something that should never be over-looked. Always give max effort, as this is a form of tribute to those that keep this nation free and safe.

I came to a compromise between Kyle and Cori - I did 150 meters. Lame, but something. I did it Thanksgiving morning and after reading how bad some of the folks on crossfit.com were hurting, I feared I would not be able to make the Thanksgiving meal if I did the full workout. The phrase I kept saying was "walking like I just left prison."

  • FREE SATURDAY SESSION
    Come by the gym on Saturday to see what is going on. You can try out the equipment or take part in our 8:00 am class. The gym is open from 8-11 every Saturday. Please e-mail us if you plan on stopping in. We look foward to meeting you.

The Trainer

  • Kyle Deneke is a CrossFit Level 1 Certified Trainer. He is a member of the Alabama High School Athletic Coaches Association and has coached competitive athletics at both the high school and junior high level. Kyle is also certified by the American Heart Association in CPR.
